Mirror, Mirror

An immersive self-reflection experience that combines voice guidance, interactive mirrors, and nursery rhyme cards — inviting you to reconnect with your inner curiosity and care.

United Kingdom·England·London

Introduction|

What if growth begins with a gentle sense of curiosity?
Mirror, Mirror was inspired by a moment of caring for a tomato plant — when we began to see it as a more-than-human partner, we also realized that true curiosity only takes root through ongoing care.
This project is a journey into inner transformation and emotional awareness, an invitation to slow down, step away from the noise, and return to yourself.

Project Background|

In a fast-paced world, we rarely take time to pause and truly listen to ourselves.
Mirror, Mirror offers a space for self-reflection, emotional acceptance, and inner care — guided by a “feel-first” approach.
Through a multisensory combination of audio guidance, rhyme cards, and mirrored interaction,
It gently invites people to reconnect with themselves, and to reignite the curiosity and rhythm of growth that may have been quietly forgotten.

Inspired by More-than-Human|

CURIOSITY|GROWTH|CARE& LOVE

Curiosity is the spark that initiates growth — whether that growth is inward, or directed toward the world around us.
But true growth can only happen through sustained care& love.
This framework embraces self-reflection as an act of compassion and care for oneself.
And it is through this inner care that a deeper curiosity arises — one that asks how we might grow together with the world.

How to Experience|

This experience invites you to pause, listen, feel, and gently reconnect with yourself.
Through sound, movement, and words, it creates a soft space for curiosity, growth, and care to emerge.

Follow the steps below to enter this journey:

   1.Find your space|

     Choose a quiet, comfortable corner.
Put on your headphones, scan the QR code, and begin the audio-guided journey.

   2. Immerse yourself|

Focus on the rhythm of the music and voice.
Let your emotions move through your body as you follow the guided language.
Look into the mirror — let the present version of you soften, and gently turn inward.

    3. Draw a card and set an intention|

Pick the rhyme card that resonates most with your current feeling.
Read it aloud (or softly hum it).
Let the rhythm give new meaning to your moment, and set a quiet intention for the day.

    4. Take it with you|

Hold the mirror, the sound, and the rhyme with you in memory.
Whenever life feels chaotic or heavy, come back to this place — to stay curious, grow slowly, and care for yourself with gentleness.

Engagement|

These are moments captured during participants' experience with Mirror, Mirror —
A gentle self-dialogue unfolding through voice guidance, mirrored reflection, and the quiet presence of rhyme cards.

Teamwork|

Mirror, Mirror was collaboratively designed and produced by a team of five students from the University of the Arts London, with diverse backgrounds in service design, social innovation, spatial design, dance, and visual communication.

The project was developed in collaboration with the Inner Development Goals (IDG) initiative, exploring themes of growth, care, and curiosity through the lens of inner development.
Starting from a “tomato-growing” experiment, the team brought the concept to life through co-creation workshops, Figma-based collaboration, prototyping, and hands-on making.
The final installation was publicly exhibited at UAL London College of Communication and The Albany, a community arts centre in London.

End|

    这一刻不需要分享,也不需要整理,也许只需要保留...
A small sense of presence. A quiet curiosity toward yourself.
You’ve just completed a journey of seeing yourself, gently and truly.

If this project resonated with you, or you'd like to collaborate — I'd love to hear from you.
